The Compliance Employee is responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulations within the organisation and providing information about them, both internally and externally.
The organisation
MM Metal Recycling B.V. is an internationally operating, leading recycler that samples parts of waste electrical and electronic equipment (e-scrap) for customers across the European market at its Port of Moerdijk site, for the purpose of analysing and determining the value of the material. MM Metal Recycling B.V. is part of Mitsubishi Materials Europe and has been based in Klundert (NL) since 2017.
The department
The QHSE department handles and is the point of contact for all QHSE-related issues. The department ensures correct implementation of the (local) QHSE policy in all its facets and ensures that the policy is adhered to throughout the organisation.
The position
The Compliance Employee is responsible for compliance with laws and regulations within the organisation and the provision of information about them, both internally and externally. In this position, you will report to the QHSE Officer and focus on:
Compliance
Advising on adjustments to internal business operations and proactively advising on compliance risks. Spotting, identifying, assessing and reporting compliance risks.
Drafting and implementing risk management measures. Drafting and managing procedures and agreements as a derivative of corporate procedures. Resolving compliance incidents.
AVG legislation
Taking care of all activities arising from the AVG legislation, such as managing and updating the privacy policy and related regulations, drafting processor agreements and maintaining the processing register. Taking (corrective) measures in accordance with AVG legislation.
The knowledge
HBO working and thinking level and (some) demonstrable experience in a similar position.
Up-to-date knowledge of the AVG legislation. Knowledge of the Environment Act or willingness to undergo appropriate training on this (is an advantage). A proactive and flexible attitude, you think in solutions and have a 'hands-on' mentality. You are eager to make a move and enjoy the challenge of fulfilling a new, important position within our organisation, where you are also supporting the department manager. You have strong communication skills; you are able to connect and transfer knowledge within the organisation on both content and process. Excellent Dutch and English language skills both verbally and in writing and a good knowledge of and experience with MS Office. You are further prepared to follow relevant education and training courses.
