MM METAL RECYCLING BUILDS NEW MOERDIJK WAREHOUSES

Five years after developing their first location in the Port of Moerdijk, MM Metal Recycling BV is expanding. The Dutch subsidiary of Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and Hanwa Co. Ltd. will build new warehouses next to the existing European collection and inspection point for E-scrap. The new buildings will be mainly warehousing incoming and outgoing cargoes, they will be on a plot of almost 3 hectares.

MM Metal Recycling BV was founded as the European collection point for E-scrap – such as printed circuit boards and capacitors of waste electrical and electronic equipment which contain copper and precious metals –in Moerdijk in 2016. Harald Wagemaker, General Manager in Moerdijk: “The new building should be operational at the beginning of April 2022. Upon completion, handling capacity of MM Metal Recycling BV is expected to increase by 50%, enabling it to capture the further growing E-scrap market in Europe.”
